The Pend Oreille County Library is a small system serving a remote population in northeast Washington state. Five computers have been configured and connected via a local network at the Newport library. Internet connectivity has been established, so that the computers can browse on the web, as well as share in on-line programming at the Seattle Public Library. The Pend Oreille County Libraries Online! site provides access to the 9,100 people this rural library serves. |
